With over 15 years of experience as a highly accomplished behavioral health leader, Dr. Davis brings a wealth of expertise and comprehensive knowledge to her role at The Children’s Shelter.
Dr. Davis’ experience includes ensuring 100% compliance in the implementation and evaluation of best practices for quality-related policies, procedures, and programs. Her diverse skill set encompasses complaints and grievances, EMR, revenue cycle management, employee training, admissions, clinical services, and business development.
Most recently, Dr. Davis served as Executive Director for Pasadena Villa Outpatient, responsible for the operations and leadership of the Pasadena Villa Outpatient Chantilly site. In collaboration with the Regional Executive Director and VP of Operations, she ensured the delivery of evidence-based care and drove key performance indicators at the Chantilly site, fostering community relations and advocacy, achieving business objectives through day-to-day operational, financial, clinical, and regulatory oversight, and spearheading business development, networking, and outreach strategies in the local market.
Prior to that, Dr. Davis was the Clinical Director for Newport Healthcare (January 2022-May 2023), providing compliance oversight and clinical direction for multiple facilities serving children, adolescents, and young adults. This included directing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on facility-wide quality management and performance improvement initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal agencies.
During her tenure at Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (January 2007 – January 2022), Dr. Davis held various key positions, including Acting Behavioral Health Manager for Diversion First Assessment Team and Specialty Dockets, Designee for Outpatient Restoration Services, Behavioral Health Supervisor for Diversion First Jail Diversion Team, and Discharge Planner/Behavioral Health Senior Clinician. She managed court-based treatment efforts, oversaw outpatient restoration services, supervised clinical aspects of programs, and provided discharge planning and intensive care management services to individuals involved with the criminal justice and mental health systems.
Dr. Davis holds a Doctorate in Education, Counseling Psychology, as well as master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, Washington D.C. Additionally, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas and the Commonwealth of Virginia, a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in Virginia, and a National Certified Counselor.
Dr. Davis is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the American Counseling Association, and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Davis continuously strives for excellence, providing clinical supervision, support, and training to enhance organizational productivity while prioritizing employee wellness and intervention.
